Pardon Me

From The Writer of Pardon Me - The success of Pardon Me on youtube has been outstanding and has taken me and others by shock. I want to tell you how it happened. When I hit 37 I started writing music and up until that point I had never written anything in my life. So it was quite a shock to my family and me who have known me all my life. I knew that not only was there a gift in me but I could also turn it on or off when I wanted and also I could custom and order what I wanted. I have learnt what helps produce a good environment to write music and not. Though when I tell people they laugh and it is never taken seriously (as always). Anyway after a short time I had pieces of paper all over my house and they were beginning to stack up and I felt that if I didn't take a step and get these songs developed then they would remain in a pile forever.

2000 was a transition time in my life where I got swept into the Digital Age and into media. So I enlisted in a college to learn and produce more skills. And when an opportunity to produce a pop video for my module came along I immediately thought of Pardon Me. The video was shot over a period of 2 days and took weeks of editing on a software program called Final Cut. So there was no real intention of it becoming commercial although I did send a copy of the video to Channel4 just for feedback. If you'd like to know more about that journey read my blog artice http://wayoutproductions.co.uk/blog/truth-about-pardon-me

Pardon Me would never have been successful without Maxine Swaby and Tim Constable who worked with me on this project. To this day I am still not sure how the video has ended up on youtube but there you go. It's currently around 260,000 hits in over a year. The song gets mixed responses to this day - like Marmite. However there are those who love it and have set up facebook groups to bring together Maxine Swaby fans world wide.

I am looking for a music company to take us serious at creating and composing music and offer us a contract. Until then I will enjoy the fame from youtube.
