You may have an idea for your next script but unless you start to write it down it may never happen. Many a good idea has been discarded simply by not jotting it down. (You may need some software to help do this and there is plenty out there to help). Once you have your idea down then the next thing is to watch it develop in your mind. There are no rights and wrongs in creativity you just have to be convinced that this is what you want as many creators will always want to put their own interpretation on it. Stand your ground and stay committed to your dream.

At last I was given a opportunity to go to the launch of Planet Video's new studio down in Pinewood. I had a very rewarding day. The picture shows the most famous studio at Pinewood the 007 Stage where the James Bond films are shot and indeed other features are shot here too because of it's size.

This years forum tends mainly to focus on the fact that production is now developing more and more into being tapeless and that content will now be stored in the 'cloud' rather than on tape in an archive.The managing of content and who gets access to it is a matter of having the right technical structure inplace (workflow) so that all stakeholders can work on and collaborate on the content at the same time. Managing clips and files and 'data wrangling' is also something that will need to be done.

If you don't know already making films is easy. It can get a bit hectic when organising but it's also great fun. Most Directors rarely have the time to sit down and plan everything. Being a Director means wearing many hats in order to get the job done and that can be overwhelming. Admittedly most Directors will tell you that being in the role of Superman can be demanding and most would grasp at the opportunity to allow a project manager to help organise and co-ordinate the production. That's where WOP can help.

I am here for the ride, sitting in the front car of the roller coaster, artists have climbed in and sit in expectation of what is about to happen. The cars are nearly full and are slowly trundling along the track and gaining momentum. It is about to break. What will it look like when it comes. It's coming closer. I am holding on to the bar now and I am ready to go...
